Club Competitions
Hobart Brewers runs several competitions a year open to club members. Judging is in the BJCP format with written scoresheets provided to entrants.
The next competition is for Amber and Dark Lagers, AABC Category 3 styles, on 23 July 2026.
Tasmanian State Homebrew Competition
The club is instrumental in organising the annual Tasmanian State Home Brew Competition.
For 2026 the TSHBC will be held at Communion Brewing Co. 57 Wilmot Street Burnie on 22 August 2026.

Entries with place first, second or third for their category are eligible to enter the Australian Amateur Brewing Championships. Entry fees to the AABC are paid from the TSHBC funds and Hobart Brewers will cover the postage costs for club members.

Australian Amateur Brewing Championships
For 2025 the AABC will be hosted by the WASABC at Phat Brew Club, 102 Railway St, West Perth WA 6005 on 25 October 2025.
